Threat: Its future is uncertain. The owner does not have a use for the building and is trying to sell it. An ornamental frieze has been removed from the façade.

This four-square house was the first house built on the block when Oakland City was a separate municipality. It is a contributing structure to the Oakland City Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
